We review your records and upcoming deadlines, then agree your scope, fee and start date.

02

Hand over the work.

With your permission, we contact your accountant, request the records and arrange access.

03

Start your new routine.

Meet your client manager, get the training you need and agree the first reporting cycle.

Your part

Before you decide

The practical
questions.

Timing, records, software and the work involved in changing accountants.

You can speak to us before giving notice. If you decide to move, we agree the timing with you and contact your accountant with your authority. Check any notice terms in your current engagement.

It should not. We identify upcoming deadlines before the handover begins and agree who is responsible for each filing while access and records are transferred.
That does not prevent a switch. We assess the position, separate recurring work from historic catch-up work and explain any additional cost before starting.
You do not normally need to wait for a financial year-end. The right timing depends on imminent filings, payroll, VAT and the condition of the records. We review these before recommending a handover date. For the full process, read our guide to changing accountants in Ireland.
You will need to approve access and answer essential questions about the business. We manage the professional handover, organise the records received and tell you clearly where your input is required.

A straightforward handover often takes around two to four weeks once the move is agreed. Timing depends on records, access and your current accountant’s response. We agree a realistic date; historic catch-up work and the first 90 days of settling in are separate from the initial transfer.

We review your current systems before recommending any change. The proposal explains the setup, migration and training required, including any separate costs.

If a filing is days away, an audit is underway or your accountant is completing a transaction, a rushed move may create unnecessary risk. We review the position and agree a sensible transition date.

Tell us what’s missing.

In 30 minutes, we’ll discuss the gaps, the right support and what a move would involve.
